Technical Guides for Recording Your MuralMemoirs Story

We're thrilled that you have decided to share your story using our interactive interview. This interactive tool makes recording your video easy and engaging. Here are some tips to help you create a compelling video story.

Preparations

1. Device Compatibility: Ensure your device (smartphone, tablet, or computer) is compatible. Most modern devices with a camera and internet access will work perfectly.

2. Internet Connection: Make sure your Wi-Fi is stable and strong to avoid interruptions during the interview.

3. Quiet Environment: Choose a peaceful location to record. Reducing background noise ensures your story is heard clearly.

4. Good Lighting: Position yourself in a well-lit area, preferably with natural light. Face towards the light source to avoid shadows.

Setting Up Your Recording Space

1. Camera Positioning: If using a phone or tablet, place your device on a stable surface or a tripod. Position the camera at eye level for a natural angle.

2. Check Your Background: If possible, include the mural in your background.

3. Test Audio and Video: Before starting the actual interview, do a quick test to check your audio and video quality.

During the Interactive Interview

1. Stay Engaged: Look at the camera and try to connect with your virtual audience as you share your story.

2. Clear and Concise Responses: Speak clearly and try to keep your responses focused and to the point.

3. Use Prompts Thoughtfully: The interview will guide you with prompts. Take a moment to think about your response to the prompts.

Recording Tips

1. Browser Settings: Ensure your browser has permission to access your device’s camera and microphone.

2. Avoid Interruptions: Close unnecessary apps or tabs that might disrupt the recording or slow down your device.

3. Focus on your story: The interactive interview system will handle the format, so just focus on sharing your story.

After the Interview

1. Review and Submit: After recording, you'll have an option to review your response. If you're happy with it, go ahead and submit.

2. Follow Up: Once submitted, you'll receive a confirmation. We may reach out to you if there are any follow-up questions or additional steps.
